This is a post a long time in the making. We're finally getting our report on our time in Paris in 2024, just as we get ready to return in 2026. We'll keep this short, just the highlights.

Paris came at the end of our incredible tour of Champagne and Burgundy. Bidding farewell to Beaune we headed to Paris with our trusty VinGarde

packed full of champagne, pinot noir and chardonnay (we won't mention how much more we had shipped).

Maison Delano was our hotel for the duration of our short stay in Paris. While it was cool and rainy outside, and the crowds of Paris Fashion Week were forming, the Delano made for a warm and inviting place for us to relax and explore Paris on our own time. We were treated to a top-floor, spacious room with windows opening over the courtyard and a quiet side street. A bottle of Bordeaux and chocolate treats awaited us.

Our time in Paris was consumed with shopping, a bit more shopping, dining and sight-seeing. Shopping, thanks to the proximity of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Place Vendôme, was on the priority list each day. There is no shortage of luxury stores available, and during Fashion Week the level of luxury on display was even greater than usual.

Food was our second priority, and for this we took advantage of the wonderful courtyard restaurant at Maison Delano for our first night, and for breakfast each day. Surrounding the hotel we explored some eclectic dining options, including: Le Comptoir du Faubourg, Contraste, Ly Thai, and Doma.

Relaxing on the left bank in Paris.

We primarily explored the area around the hotel with a stop on the left bank with stops as Saint-Sulpice and St. Germain des Pres, with a break looking out over the Louvre for afternoon tea (or was it champagne?).

No rushing around, no planned tours, just exploring and taking in the sights and sounds of Paris. And with that, we're just sharing some of the highlights of our time in Paris; food, architecture, and just enjoying the City of Lights.

We left Paris after just 3 days, ready to return again to explore more.
